Hey — I’m Dane

The first time I picked up a camera, I was in my backyard in Jamaica, capturing flowers, the colors, the details, the beauty I didn’t want to forget. That tiny moment grew into something bigger. Years later, when I photographed my first wedding and saw the look of gratitude on the couple’s faces, everything clicked. I realized how much joy there is in preserving memories for others.

I chose New York because it’s the cultural hub of the world. I love interacting with people from different walks of life, experiencing new traditions, and capturing stories that feel wildly different yet deeply similar in emotion.


Being Jamaican shaped the way I see celebrations: vibrant, emotional, family-centered, full of life. It made me open-minded, curious, and comfortable with the non-traditional. Most importantly, it taught me how to approach every wedding with calm energy and problem-solving presence.

How I See Weddings

My approach is rooted in capturing the in-between the glances, the breaths, the laughter you don’t realize is happening. I shoot photos and video with one intention: to give you an emotional retelling of your day exactly the way you imagine it.


My style is cinematic, documentary, and timeless. I naturally gravitate toward the first look, ceremony details, and genuine moments where emotions speak louder than posing.


One moment I’ll never forget: a groom seeing his bride during their first look, the way his breath caught, the slow tears rolling down his face. It’s moments like those that remind me why I do this.

When you look at your gallery or film, I want you to feel nostalgia, joy, and a deep connection to family and each other.

Experiencing different cultures gives me a renewed perspective and a deeper appreciation for life. From Jamaican and Caribbean celebrations to South Asian ceremonies filled with tradition and color, every cultural wedding has taught me something meaningful.

When I document a culture I didn’t grow up with, I take my time to understand its traditions and show genuine appreciation. I show up with openness, curiosity, and excitement to learn.
What makes me feel at home anywhere in the world? Seeing the love in everyone’s eyes.

Music shapes everything I create — it inspires my pacing, mood, and emotional tone. I edit almost all my work to music.

A cup of coffee, a good playlist, and a well-prepared plan — that’s my perfect wedding-day morning.

Anime influences my storytelling — emotion, pacing, dramatic buildup, and visual style.

Travel:
Travel resets my creativity and gives me new eyes for every love story.

I bring inspiration from the world around me into every wedding I capture.
